With over four decades of IT experience, Karl brings a wealth of knowledge about the technology and retail industry. His expertise spans critical pillars including supply chain, e-commerce, point of sale, and warehouse management, backed by experience across the technology landscape—from IBM mainframes to modern artificial intelligence capabilities.
Prior to joining Red Hat, Karl spent thirty years at IBM in senior roles, including CTO for retail systems within IBM’s Systems and Technology Group, and Global Chief Architect for Retail within IBM’s Distribution Industry. A recognized IBM Master Inventor holding over twenty software patents, Karl leverages his background to architect solutions that bridge established infrastructure and future-state technologies, delivering meaningful outcomes for customers.
