Richard Jenkins

Head of Loss Prevention Strategy & Projects, Central Store Operations, Marks & Spencer
United Kingdom

Richard joined Marks & Spencer in 1997 and had a varied career in UK stores and the International division before working for 3 years as part of the SAP implementation team. Following that, in 2012 he was appointed to oversee the RFID programme that extended the technology to all Clothing and Homeware merchandise and trained and equipped all stores to use it to the benefit of their customers. When complete the focus turned to pioneering some new and additional use cases, to maximise the benefit of RFID in stores but also address some long standing opportunities end to end.

For the past 5 years Richard has also been responsible for Loss Prevention and last year introduced the use of RFID for the tracking of the Sales and Refund history of all merchandise to eliminate fraudulent refunds. He has just been appointed to the new role of Head of End to End Clothing & Home Loss where extending RFID use will be a massive opportunity.
